The Cuyahoga Valley is rich in unexplored archeology sites. Even the casual hiker might make a historic discovery.

Years ago, this ancient domed structure was discovered by Cuyahoga Jones right in the middle of the Cuyahoga Valley.

Notation in Cuyahoga Jones' archeology journal regarding the discovery:

"On this date, right out in plain view of nearby roads, I happened across a gigantic domed structure. It had obviously been built by a highly advanced ancient culture, possibly related to the builders of the ancient Serpent Mound in the Ohio River Valley. It measures approximately eight hundred feet in diameter. Its bright white color is visible for miles around, which makes it all the more surprising that it wasn't discovered earlier on. I made note of the location for possible excavation in the future.

"As I took notes and climbed high up on the dome, I could feel the spirits of the people who had constructed this magnificant structure. I could almost hear their ancient voices coming to me down through the centuries. I stood in awe as I listened to them shout out their sacred number, '4!'

"It was getting dark, so I had to cut short my exploration of the area around the dome. I was able to find one artifact. It was an almost spherical white orb, somewhat smaller than a chicken-egg, likely used in some mysterious religious ceremony. The surface had become severely dimpled with age. I pocketed this, and headed for Case Western University, where I knew I could locate an expert who might shed more light on my discovery.

"Luckily, Professor Kabage was working late. I knew he was only a mediocre archeologist. He hadn't published any articles of note in almost fifty years. But he was an ardent collector of ancient religious artifacts, and I trusted his judgement. I entered his office, told him how I had discovered the ancient dome, and showed him the sacred orb.

"Unfortunately, the excitement of such a breathtaking discovery must have been too much for the old fellow. He began to cackle and hold his sides as though he would never stop laughing. He ran outside with the orb, placed it on the ground, and struck it with a club that he pulled from the trunk of his car. Rather than breaking, the orb flew into the air, traveling quite a distance. Under the darkening sky, I couldn't see where it went. I was unable to recover it, even after searching the grounds for the next five days.

"The saddest part of the entire Professor Kabage incident was this:

"As he hit the irreplaceable orb, his hideous laughter paused for a brief moment as he mocked the ancients' religion. It's unbelievable, but true. As Professor Kabage struck the ball, he called out their sacred number, '4!'

"I hope he recovers his sanity before mid-terms."
